Privacy Policy
Last updated 26 October 2026
This policy explains what Ashok Kumar Vishwakarma, who runs Cluedog ("Cluedog", "we"), collects when you use cluedog.com and app.cluedog.com, why, who helps us process it, and the choices you have.
What we collect
From you
- Account details: your name, email address, company name and time zone, and a hashed password if you sign up with one. If you sign in with Google or Microsoft, we receive your name, email address and an account identifier from them.
- What you sell: the offerings you describe, your website address, case studies, your lead bar, sources and searches, and any documents you upload to set them up.
- Your work in Cluedog: leads you save, dismiss or move through your pipeline, replies and proposals you draft or edit, call notes and messages you paste in.
- Billing details: the name and address you give for receipts, and records of your plan, credits and payments. Card, UPI and bank details are entered on Razorpay's checkout and are never sent to or stored by us.
Automatically
- Usage and device data: pages you visit, actions you take, browser and device type, approximate location from your IP address, and error logs.
- Session recordings: we use Microsoft Clarity to understand where people get stuck. It records clicks, scrolling and page changes, and masks text you type. Recordings are linked to an internal account identifier, never your email address.
- Cookies: a sign-in cookie that keeps you logged in, and Clarity's analytics cookies. We do not use advertising cookies.
Public posts
To find leads, Cluedog reads posts that people have published publicly on Reddit, Hacker News, X, LinkedIn and Facebook, along with the public profile details of their authors (such as a bio, follower count or account age). We only read public content, never private messages, and we never post, comment or message anyone on your behalf. Posts we have not turned into a lead are deleted after 30 days. If you wrote a post and want it removed from Cluedog, email us and we will delete it.
How we use it
- To run Cluedog: find and score leads, draft replies and proposals, and show your pipeline.
- To send the emails you ask for (sign-in codes, the morning list, reminders) and notes about your account and billing.
- To bill you, issue receipts, and keep the records the law requires.
- To keep the service secure, prevent abuse (such as repeated free trials), and fix problems.
- To understand how Cluedog is used and improve it.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for advertising.
Who processes it for us
We share data only with the services that help us run Cluedog, and only what each needs:
| Service | What it does |
|---|---|
| Anthropic | AI models that score posts and draft replies, briefs and proposals. We send post text and the offering details needed for each task. |
| Razorpay | Takes payments for plans and top-ups. |
| Resend | Delivers our emails. |
| Microsoft Clarity | Product analytics and session recordings. |
| ScrapeCreators, SocialCrawl, redditapis.com, twitterapi.io | Fetch public posts and public profiles for the searches you run. They receive search terms, not your account details. |
| Google, Microsoft | Sign-in, if you choose to sign in with them. |
| Our hosting providers | Run our servers and database. |
Some of these providers process data outside India. We may also disclose data when the law requires it, or to protect Cluedog, our users or the public.
How long we keep it
- Account and offering data: while your account is open, and deleted within 30 days of you asking us to close it.
- Public posts that did not become a lead: 30 days.
- Invoices and payment records: as long as tax law requires (currently 8 years in India).
- Logs: up to 90 days.
Your choices and rights
You can see and change most of your data in the app. Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (and similar laws where you live), you can ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, or delete it, and you can withdraw consent at any time. Email cluedoghq@gmail.com and we will reply within 30 days. You can switch off the morning and reminder emails in Settings; account and billing emails are part of the service.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit, passwords are hashed, and access to production systems is limited to the people who run Cluedog. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your data, we will tell you and the authorities as the law requires.
Children
Cluedog is a business tool and is not meant for anyone under 18.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will email account owners before it takes effect. The date at the top shows the latest version.
